Head on down to the Singapore Botanic Gardens right now to join in our celebrations for the Singapore Botanic Gardens Heritage Week.
 
From 11am - Carnival activities at Orchid Plaza. Visitors also enjoy free admission to the National Orchid Garden. *
 
2pm- Embark on a Heritage Tour of the Gardens (registration is required 15 mins before 2 pm at level 1, Botany Centre)
 
3pm - Join the Lorong Boys and 53A for a Bandstand Performance
 
5pm - Get free plants from the Singapore Garden Festival's Adopt-A-Plant initiative at Orchid Plaza (first-come-first served)
 
Till 6pm- Explore Heritage of the World at the CDL Green Gallery and SBG Heritage Museum
 
6pm to 8.30pm - People's Variety Show at Symphony Stage

Singapore will play host to Prince William and his wife Catherine Middleton next month.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be here for three days starting September 11, as part of their Asia Pacific tour.

The Gardens by the Bay, Rolls Royce Factory and Botanic Gardens are some of the sites the royal couple will visit.

They will also have dinner at the Istana, hosted by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and President Tony Tan Keng Yam.

The public will get to mingle with the royal couple when they visit Queenstown housing estate on September 12 for a cultural event.

Their final stop will be the Kranji War Memorial.

The royal couple are on a nine-day tour of the Asia Pacific to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
