Chinese New Year in Chinatown 2020
As many of us know CNY in Singapore is a big celebration among the Chinese here. About 1 month before the Chinese New Year starts, stalls selling many items will be set up all over Singapore , especially so in Temple Street of Chinatown.
The rental of stalls can be as high as tens of thousands here. Most of items offered are Taiwanese cold mochi snacks, tidbits sweets, cny cookies like pineapple tarts, peanuts biscuits and kuihs bahulu (sponge cake) and not forgetting the cny decorations.
Plants like the lucky bamboo are among the hot favourite as many believe in good luck when they buy a bunch for their house during the Chinese New Year festival.

There is even a stall selling clogs
Beware of pickpockets when shopping in Temple Street as it gets very crowded.
